DVD wont read DVD's

I have a LG DVD writer. I was using DVDxpress to backup my movie collection...lol and have only made about 20 DVD's. It now will read CD's but it won't read DVD's or play them. Oh what have I done???

Help Please... thesigncreator@shaw.ca

Cheers
Darin

DVD was a refurb from Lat top Depot. The disks I have been using are - DVD player will burn both. Just not right now. Was working just fine. I had 6 movies I was copying, on the 5th it decided to stop working. But still will read CD's just not DVD's or play them.

can you go on the homepage of the dvd rom and under probably "support", to see if there are newer firmware updates?

Could my burner be "burnt out"? Its not that old, but it was a refurb....
How many burns should it last?
