Error Questions??
I posted this in the wrong section first! The system keeps rebooting over and over after this message appears for a quick second!
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\:Software: or its alternative. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable. Beginning dump of physical memory Physical memory dump cpmplete. Contact your system technical support group. Does this sound like a virus wipped out the H-Drive? Any help please? Bill P.S. Its an IBM Think Pad with Windows 2000 Pro OS. |

It sounds like some significant damage has been done to the boot drive, specifically the registry. I'd be reaching for my backups. Did you try loading the last good configuration at boot?

If you don't have any install disks or backups, you may be up a creek.

It appears that you've had major corruption. I'd find a system that you can install the drive as a secondary drive and copy any files you want off, then it's time for a fresh install.
