can anyone of u tell me from where to start
hi everybody,
i know that many problems are fixed by viewing log files and some associated files. i want to know that how to view the log files and how to fix a corresponding error. can anybody tell me how to fix problems by viewing the log files and event viewer. is there any links available for this so that i can go through it step by step that from where to start and can be a master. And please give suggestions on how to fix errors or problems by editing registry. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. |

Basically the way I've always done it was by Googling the event ID or checking the MS KB. Sometimes event log errors can be clear as daylight and other times you can spend days trying to figure it out. No magic potion here.
Editing the registry is not a task taken heartily. Always backup the registry before modifying it. |

EventID will give you a list of event error codes and some more details on the errors. Also, you can search the error code on the Microsoft Knowledge Base with the event error code for more data.
