Scheduled Tasks
I have the following command running via the Scheduled Tasks on a WIN2K 5.00.2195 SP4 box -
C:\WINNT\system32\CMD.EXE /c start "NL Call Reporting" rexx.exe D:\mobileHostadapter\RCMS61\NLCallReporting.rex The command runs without error when run either via the command line or when the task and then Run is selected from the scheduled tasks folder. The command also runs at its scheduled time without error if you are logged onto the box at the time it is due to run. The problem I have is that the task fails to run at its scheduled time when the box is unattended or rather it does report that it worked as in - "restartcr.job" (CMD.EXE) Finished 3/14/2005 10:02:32 AM Result: The task completed with an exit code of (0). but the task doesn't actually do anything i.e. says it ran but didn't actually appear to. I think it's something to do with using the "start" but I can't work out what the problem is. Can anyone help please, Thanks Paul. |

Try changing the user that runs the task to Administrator. Also, scheduled tasks won't run under 2K if you don't have a password on the account that is running the task.
