virus is preventing access to anti-virus websites
Hello,
We have a computer which runs a 'core' piece of equipment (i.e. many users). Unfortunately, someone has brought in a virus on their USB stick (a mactintosh user who is not affected - same problem for us several times). The virus is preventing our anti-virus software from running (Sophos) and won't allow access to any anti-virus websites, nor can we install anti-virus software downloaded elsewhere and transferred by USB. I saw a previous fix for this problem for an XP user (Nov2008), but wasn't sure if it would be the same for win2000? Thanks in advance for thinking about this problem. |
