Older Schooler Needed: Windows NT 4.0 Schedule Tasks

Hello all.

I need someone to hopefully think way back to when schedule task was created and tell me if SP3 with IE 4 is good enough?

I see on the MS site that Schedule Task was shipped with IE 4 beta. I just installed IE 4 SP2 and can not seem to find it.

This OS was before my time and i'll having a hard time finding any documentation. Hopefully not everyone has burnt-out those old brain cells.

Nevermind. I think I have found a solution.

The at.exe command line scheduler appears to be working and will be perfect for my application.

Just a FYI, it's added with the Offline Browsing Pack included with IE5
Task Scheduler Service on Windows NT

Re: Older Schooler Needed: Windows NT 4.0 Schedule Tasks

I just tested it out, and Internet Explorer 6 SP1 will also install task scheduler in Windows NT Workstation 4.0
The task scheduler will be found in My Computer
You can download IE 6 SP1 here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
The installer requires you to stay connected to the net to download other components

I also uploaded the whole package if you want to do an offline installation
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ARYGRP48

P.S. totally unrelated: My package also has the Windows Explorer enhancements (which Microsoft doesn't distribute anymore with IE6). You may already have it if you installed IE4, but I'll put the instructions anyway for anyone who stumbles upon this thread. The way to install it is
1. Install IE 6 SP1 normally (run IE6setup.exe) - stay offline while doing this. I think I have the packages for everything except the foreign languages. I always do manual installation ("install minimal or customize your browser"), and check everything except languages, except for language auto-selection and pan-european text (those are the only 2 I have for language).
2. after you reboot, run it again, but with these parameters (you'll probably want to run it from the command-line)
IE6Setup.exe /C:"ie6wzd /e:IE4Shell_NTx86 /I:Y"
When it reboots you'll have active desktop on by default. you can right-click the desktop and turn it off, and pick a bitmap wallpaper instead. But your windows like "My Computer" and "control panel" etc... will look a lot better (windows 98 style with back and forward buttons etc)
