Cannot type in password in login prompt!! help

Hi

I have a domain controller which is in a locked state (CTRL+ALT+DEL) It is still live and working properly however I could not type in the password. I replaced the keyboard but same problem I could not get in! The mouse is working OK...

Forcing a shutdown is not an option as it is a 24/7 live server!! can someone suggest something? is there some sort of remote method I could use? also RDP is not enabled so I am screwed...

Thanks a million

Re: Cannot type in password in login prompt!! help

If you could just somehow let whomever uses the server know that they will experience a little downtime, you could shutdown, reboot into Safe Mode with Networking. and that should give you a hidden Administrator account that has no password, you could use that to either remove the password on the other account, or find out if your keyboard drivers are correctly installed, if not, you will need to go into Add New hardware and install it from there.
