OS: W2K Pro


W2k Pro errors

I have a system thjat runs for days, 6 or 7 then starts to fail with "stope code000001E, ntoskrnl.exe, or win32k.sys.
I have change MB, RAM. CPU . Also, I have reformatted and reloaded 2 or 3 times.

Any ideas?

try giving it a clean install and not an upgrade from 95 or 98. That might solve it. If not, then it's probably your win2k cd....(was if copied or you bought it?) That might be it. Sometimes I get error memory messages on some applications that I use on win2k but all I do is close them and restart them and it's fine. If it keeps happening then I guess you should just buy a whole new system or just get winXP and use that OS.

post the exact error --word for word...

also check the event viewer under administrative tools...tell us what the app and sys logs have in them...

I'd stick a different video board in, and remove any extra expansion boards that aren't absolutely required. This could be some sort of bus conflict that isn't apparent.
