during 2000 installation puter restarts 1 and stops at verifiying dmi pool

while i was installing win 2000 on my new hard drive it started out fine and then when it was time to restart it did then it started up and when it got to verifiying dmi pool...... the cursor(-) just kept on blinking and i didnt no what to do. what do i need to do in order to install win 2000 on my hard drive?

are you using an 80 wire eide cable on the h/d
check the jumpers

Sounds like you need drivers for the disk. How about some system details?

Thread tools on the top right of the screen, mark it closed if you started the thread.
