WIN2K - Can't get Remove Programs Icon to work

Double clicking the Add/Remove Programs Icon on my Win2K machine does absolutely nothing. If I select and right click, and try "Open", same reaction..absolutely nothing. I read somewhere that this may be caused by a virus or sspyware, but I've run EVERYTHING that's out there in both categories and it comes up clean.

Any/all ideas (other than reinstalling Win2K from scratch) are welcome..

Thank you all and happy holidays..

This board is a life line..

Nothing happened

I tried what you suggested.. I saw a DOS box come up for a split second, and go away, and nothing else happened..

Any other ideas would be appreciated..

Thank you

Dai:
You were right. I didn't put the space in the right place the first time. BUT
I just ran it again, and it ran a check of Windows protected files...read W2K Pro CD..I rebooted, but still no change.

What's next?

Thanks
