Windows 2000 Desktop Icons Issue

(Win2000 Pro SP4, 2.4GHz Dual-Core, 2GB RAM, 1066MHz FSB, ATI 3650 HD 1GB Videocard)

I recently installed Win2000 again and I'm having issues with the Desktop Icons which are they're discolored/disfigured(?):

Screenshot: http://www.rushgamer.net/gheyicons.jpg

I fixed it before, like 4 years ago, but I forget how.

Any suggestions?

Re: Windows 2000 Desktop Icons Issue

First check your graphics settings. Go to start, settings, control panel, display, settings tab. If it's at 256 colors or lower, then make it 24 bits or whatever the highest one is. Adjust your resolution too if that suddenly changed.
If that was all right to begin with, get TweakUI.
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...US/Tweakui.exe
Run it. It will extract to your temp folder by default. Open My Documents or My Computer. In the address bar type %temp% and press enter. Look for tweakui.inf then right click it and pick install. Then go to control panel, tweakui, then choose the repair tab, pick rebuild icons, and click repair now.
