New pc build, need help.
Motherboard - asus A8n32 - sli Deluxe
Processor - AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual processor graphics card - Gforce 7800gt power supply - Corsair TX 750w operating system - xp pro Hard drive - westrn digital Sata dvd burner - lg set as slave dvd rom - lg set as master My 1st buld. installed everything, installed windows worked ok at 1st but did not recognize one of my dvd roms. no biggie. I started updating all my drivers and when rebooted i got a message saying secondary master is not ATAPI compatible still get this message once in a while. but whenever reboot i keep getting the we aploogize for any inconvenience. I have several options and tried them all, it just keeps recycling back to this screen. I have tried many things: checked jumpers for master and slave changed jumpers unhooked 1 of the dvd roms tried to boot windows from disk - freezes when i get to the press enter to continue screen. tried booting from harddrive - keeps freezing re-seated cpu many other things. Please help |
