The driver_irql_not_less_or_equal can be just about anything hardware related. The fact that it happens when you put a strain on the computer and you reported a temp of 84C points to cpu overheat.
The first thing to do is clean and reapply thermal paste, to clean the old paste off use isoplopyl alcohol to clean the cpu and heatsink. Then apply artic silver5 according to the directions on there website http://www.arcticsilver.com/instructions.htm One thing I forgot to check before I suggested replacing the thermal paste,,,,,,,,, are you sure the cpu heatsink is free of dust build up? Re: blue screen of death !
Lets see if cleaning the dust out helps, if its really clogged that could be it, its best to clean with a can of compressed air but be carefull don't turn the can on its side because liquid can come out.
A good idle temp would be 40C to 45C and it should not get above 60C to 65C |
