Help with Adobe Flash install.....
Running Win2K Pro. and have Smart Board software running on the system. For certain multimedia files inside the software you have to have Flash installed. I have installed, uninstalled, reinstalled Flash several times but to no avail. I am running Win. 2K Pro service pack 4. I have also run the Windows update but still nothing.
Whenever I try to open a multimedia file within the Smart software it informs me that I must have Flash installed.... ![]() Any takers..... Thanks. |

Re: Help with Adobe Flash install.....
Are you installing the Firefox or the Internet Explorer version of Flash? I'm not familiar with Smart Board, but win32 programs that use Flash normally call it via IE routines.
The IE version of Flash can be downloaded here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...9166&sliceId=2 Scroll down to where it says "If the ActiveX Control for Flash Player fails to install, download the executable installer." and click Download. The page also contains other troubleshooting tips. One other possibility is it's a version problem. If so, uninstall Flash and try installing an older version (8, 7, 6, or even earlier). Some are archived here http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=flashp (I can't tell if they're IE or Netscape/Firefox versions though) |
