PCMCIA service in windows NT failed "error 0020"

hi
I have an old notebook. i have to use PCMCIA network adapter for connecting to LAN.
please help me. i haven't any solution to do that. how PCMCIA works in Windows NT. what i have to do to run PCMCIA service in windows NT?
i attached Xircom Ethernet card in PCMCIA slot. but when i try to start Pcmcia service in control panel of windows NT it failed and following error accrued:
Code:
Could not start the pcmcia service on \\micro
Error 0020: the system cannot find the device specified.
where is problem!!??

hi a,

did you also install the software drivers for the card?

windows needs these drivers so it knows how to interface with the card.

if you don't have the xircom software then post the xircom model number and we can search the internet to find it for you.
(the model number will be listed on the pcmcia card)
