Windows 2K workstation will not join Windows 2003 domain
I have a Windows 2K computer that refuses to join my domain. DHCP works correctly, I can ping the domain controller both by IP and by name, and when attempting to join the domain it prompts for a username and password. The only error message I receive is 'The network location cannot be reached' which I do not understand, because as perviously stated I can ping the domain controller.
Background information: this computer was perviously a member of the domain and its computer object was inadvertantly deleted. I removed it from the domain, received an error saying it could not disable its account (which makes sense, because the computer object was gone) but it still removed itself. I have tried to re-add it to the domain from multiple local administrator accounts, changing the computer name, moving to a different workgroup before adding, and manually setting the IP condiguration, and nothing has worked. Help? |

set the dns to the server, then try and join the domain |
