[SOLVED] Windows 2000 Professional Adminitrator rights
hello please, any buddy can help me i have problem regarding login in to my administrator account exactly i cannot install any software on pc i use guest account and i dont have administrator account password, i tried many ways to get administrator password example deleting the logon.scr file replacing with cmd.exe as logon.scr & the other trick by pressing F8 and login to safe mode, it dosent works, well there is other ways buy creating boot disc, but i cannot use that, otherwise my brother will get to knw abt it, so any buddy can give me some good idea to get the administrator password, or to get administrator right to install software on my user account. note tht i cannot create any new account on my pc, bcoz i dnt have administrator rights, I am using windows 2000 Professional. Re: Windows 2000 Professional Adminitrator rights
this tool will allow you to specify a new password if all else fails, and does require local access to the machine. http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
enjoy.

If we help you and you get in trouble, wouldn't that make us responsible in some way?
It can't be done when Windows is running. The password database if you will, is being protected by the core of the operating system. It can only be altered by a special program on a boot disk. Last edited by af3; 08-06-2008 at 07:57 AM. |

Re: Windows 2000 Professional Adminitrator rights
Seems like a bit too much text messaging has damaged your ability to communicate effectively. I would concur with af3, if it's not YOUR computer than perhaps there's a reason you don't have the admin password.
