Can't Login to Win2000
I need some serious help with my machine...As i said i am running Win2000 OS...
Everything boots up fine and it goes to the login screen. I enter all my stuff and does what it normally does, the login screen disappears and the intro music plays...after that nothing. It remains at a blue blank screen. No matter how long i wait nothing happens. So i decide to try it in safemode everything goes fine and then it does exactly the same thing...the usually message about "You have logged into..." doesn't show up. Can anyone help me...it would be greatly appreciated |

Re: Can't Login to Win2000
Perhaps nobody has an answer to your question because they don't know. Certainly blabbing things like "wtf" will endear you to everyone who does this for free, despite possibly having better things to do.
As for the reason you might be getting this, I'd suspect that you have a corrupted user profile and it can't read some portion of it. If you're logging in as a user other than administrator, perhaps you could try doing that (log in as administrator). I'm not sure if this computer had the OS installed by you or not, but you need to have the administrator password to do so...obviously. Another option might be to try to boot from the installation CD and go to the repair console and try runningchkdsk /r from the command line to force the computer to do a full disk check and repair anything it finds.
