Keyboard failure- windows not running under normal configuration- press f1
I have a computer running Windows 2000 professional. The same monitor, Keyboard and mouse were connected to the win 2000 pro and another XP machine via a KVM Switch. There was a sudden shutdown, due to a power failure and since then the Windows 2000 gives an error during boot up:
"keyboard failure Your computer is not running under normal configuration, take back up or replace hard disks (or something like this). Press F1 to continue " Then it says let it run Disk Check..After completing the check it does not go into windows so I gave a cold shutdown and started the pc again. The keyboard failure message comes again and I skip it to get into Windows. The Keyboard is only picked up when directly connected to the PC instead of using the switch. What could be the problem and how can I fix it? |
