Trying to map network drive from server...
Hey guys,
I'm new here. Here is what I am trying to do. I am setting up a Windows2000 PC for a user, and the user needs access to some files off the server. The admin account on the PC can access and map the network drive from the server, but the user has not got permission to do so, even if I change the permissions to that of an admin it doesnt work. Any pointers would be great. Cheers. |

Re: Trying to map network drive from server...
You need to create a user on the server that has the same name as the username on the workstation and set the passwords the same. Also, make sure that you've set the permissions on the share to allow members of the users group the access that you'd like them to have.
