We are running windows 2000 on one of our library computers, and while trying to locate the Local Policy Settings in Administrative Tools, found that Administrative Tools has nothing in it. How can I make the tools appear again? (I am looking for the setting to make the last login name reappear each time and I have always gotten there through Local Policy Settings before) but then most of our machines are XP.

Re: Administrative tools empty, win2000
Thanks, I will check there.
By the way, I have begun to hate win2000 just because I can't keep any of our security tools to keep working right on them. We have XP on all the others but two. They won't take Steady Steady so I have to use our old Fortress security which I find very annoying to use and will maybe end up calling them again. Each time it is such a struggle to be able to get each of the programs working from the desktop in the separate profiles and to be able to use the drive for a flash drive. These are both such easy tasks with Steady State (if I get things installed in the right order) Our director still has a love for 2000, maybe for nostalgia sake which is why they are not all XP. |
