Mozilla Firefox problem
When I click on the Firefox icon a yellow box pop up instead of starting Firefox.
The words (red font) inside the yellow box looks like this: _______________________ Window ID="Main Window" Key ID="key_OpenHelp" _______________________ See attachment. I cannot left or right click inside the box, only to close it (X) I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox several times, each time using a different download. The result is the same. The yellow box pops up instead of Firefox. OS is W2K Pro; Browser is IE (hoping to use Firefox someday). If you need additional information please let me know. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. |

you mention that you have tried to install it many times, but i wanted to know if you tried getting the download again.
if repeatedy reinstalling it makes no difference, i would begin to suspect the quality of the file on your hard disk, so i would go grab it again.

Or you may have downloaded the wrong version somehow. But I bet it is the file that is screwed up.

Try safe mode
Uninstall it again, restart your comp press F8 go to safe mode with networking. go to IE browser and download it from there, and install the program in safe mode. while your at safe mode you might as well clean your computer, it helps.
Peace (EDIT: Inappropriate attachment deleted.) Last edited by CTSNKY; 11-28-2004 at 11:19 PM. |
