Can't save file as GIF?

Just a couple days ago I could save a file as .GIF Now All I can save them as is a .bmp with no other option to save them as. And if I look at the address bar the pic/graphic has .gif at the end!!!

. Anyone know what would cause my computer to do this?

The most common reason for this is failure to empty your Temp Internet Files Cache. Tools, Internet Options, and click the Delete Files button.

YOU THE MAN!!! Thanks soooo much!!! I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on!!! My one friend is having the same problem, I'm not sure of her operating system though, but is this something that just applies to all WINDOWS operating systems?

It does- I've had it before on my Win98se machine, and clearing temp files fixed it.
