Dell will not load OS....
Turn on the computer and the Dell splash comes up for about 3 secs. and then I get this error.
Error Message: A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart It is a Dell Latitude C610 running Win2K pro. It comes up to the Dell splash screen but then I get that error message... Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Dell will not load OS....
Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but if you're getting a disk read error it sounds like the drive is failing. I'd suggest backing things up ASAP and then work on getting the operating system working. If you have a second computer perhaps you could put the drive as a slave in it and back things up.
