hi, i was online last night when i had a power outage, and ever since, my computer wont boot up. it gets as far as the "starting windows" screen, but then i get the message:
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0x81876E50,0xC0000006,0x00000000,0x00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer. Refer to your Getting Started manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors. i looked at the recent advice for this type of error but it seemed to apply only if i have swapped motherboards, or a hard drive controller, which i have not. i dont know how to access my antivirus software to do a scan from the blue screen. i need instructions on how to check my hard drive to see how its configured and terminated and also how to run CHKDSK. when i try to start in safe mode, i still get the same error message. any help is appreciated. |
