No sound in re-install of win2kpro

Hi, I recently re-installed win2kpro after 2-3 years (or more?)

I just realized I have no sound - a previous belarc listing indicates under multimedia : Crystal SoundFusion(tm) CS4281 Joystick
Crystal SoundFusion(tm) CS4281 WDM Audio

but now after re-install it shows non detected ...

I started to follow some other help which started with running services, but my resulting sectionsdidnt have what they said. so....
If it something simple -I'd appreciate it - otherwise I dont really need sound anyway - I turn it down and many years ago I just didnt 'get' winamp - so never really used sound.

TIA

Re: No sound in re-install of win2kpro

Hey...

Did you get a solution. I'm dealing with the same problem and can not seem to find a driver that will work.

Thanks

Re: No sound in re-install of win2kpro

For original poster (if he's still around)
http://driverscollection.com/?H=CS42...Semiconductors
You'd have to go in device manager, double click the device without the driver, go the driver tab, click on update driver, then navigate to the folder where you extracted the zip.

To second poster
When you say you have the same problem, are you saying you're only missing sound, or are you saying you're missing the driver for the Crystal SoundFusion CS4281 devicelike the original poster? If the latter, follow the instructions above. If no, tell us the specs (brand and model of PC, or brand and make of sound card).
