When "shut down" is selected, It restarts!

When I want to shut down my computer, I go to the start menu or sometimes Ctrl+Alt+Del, and select Shut Down, when I do this, my computer restarts, sometimes, other times, it shuts down properly! HELP!

Hello aj_hasan, welcome to TSF. I apologize for not getting to your post sooner...

Are you still having this issue? Can you remember if this was always the case or after installing software/hardware?

What Win2K SP are you running?

You could look at your manufacturers support website for an updated power mangagement driver to fix any bugs you may be experiencing. Updated chipset drivers probably wouldn't hurt either. You might also check if your BIOS version has known issues with Win2K.
