Win2k Pro Install help

Hey there! First I'd like to know if theres a way to do a clean install WITHOUT having or loading a previous OS? Second, when I installed win2k the second time (first time was a bug in WinME) there were pop up ads from "helpfixpc.com" and "registrycleanerxp.com" telling me I needed their program to fix the errors in my registry. I'd like to know where these came from and how to get rid of them! Thanks.

Re: Win2k Pro Install help

Do you have a Upgrade version of Win2K? . . The popups come from going online with no antivirus or firewall.

Re: Win2k Pro Install help

The version I have allows eigther an upgrade or a semi-clean install - but this allows for multi boot which I don't really want. I had not gone online at this point. I was still installing other programs at the time. But, I hadn't loaded any anti-anything either. I will try that; if not "I'll be back!"
