Trouble after reloading operation system
I did a clean re-install of my Win2K operating system. Now I can't bring up my Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet ver 5. Upon trying to bring up Lotus I get the message "cannot load 123R5.ini file". It worked fine before the reloaded operating system. I did a file search and the ".ini" file is still there and upon clicking the file it shows up in Notes, but it is beyond my capability. I've had the Lotus program for about 15 years now and I don't have the floppys anymore to reload the program. Anybody got any ideas about how I should go about solving the problem?? Thanks loads!

Re: Trouble after reloading operation system
a clean re-install means you have formatted and installed. you mean a repair? when you repair, you loose your registry settings and have to reload your programs and updates. a repair is just for the operating system.

Re: Trouble after reloading operation system
The term "clean reinstall" is what I checked off to do on the Windows 2000 Pro system disk. It did not format my disk as I still have all my files left, but I think the registry was redone because I don't have visibility of any of the programs that are still in the "program files" folder. I'm not sure if I know what I'm talking about here. Thanks

Re: Trouble after reloading operation system
A clean install for win2k does not overwrite your previous OS files, which means you have a multi-boot system with win2k and your old OS. I believe the boot.ini defaults to the win2k system; try booting to your old system and see what happens.
