Re: Update from win 2000 to win xp

You must check to see if your computer meets the system requirements to run Microsoft Windows XP. I searched the internet and found the requirements!

One suggestion, for safety pupose, keep all driver CDs ready. I'm too in the process of doing it, almost done, but I'm into a trouble now with some driver issues (my guess). Otherwise, upgrading should not cause any problem, just check the system requirements as mentioned above.

Re: Update from win 2000 to win xp

Most important here I would suggest you is check if all the floppies (if booting from floppies) or CDs and drivers are in working condition. Coz this happened to me, wanted to repair XP and my 6th bootable floopy did not work. Since I had a back up of the floppy, it solved the problem. So,backup and verify the data before doing anything. If just upgrading, everything should go on smoothly..
