cannot delete virus file

My virus detector located a dll file that I attempted to manually delete in safemode and the system will not allow me to. A message comes up that it is being used by windows. Can anyone assist me in getting rid of this annoying virus? Thank you!!!

Try going into safe mode, typically done by rebooting and pressing F8

Hello and welcome to TSF

I would recommend that you go here; read and follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, to here. (Just click on the coloured links.)

Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can.

Good luck

Please also remember DO NOT post your logs in this thread, please start a new thread here. (Just click on the coloured link.) and post the logs.

Re: cannot delete virus file

You're welcome puterdummy, but please, if there are any more virus issues, do as Go The Power suggested. Using unlocker irresponsibly can be very damaging to your system.
