[SOLVED] w2k wants username & password
I started up w2k pro after a couple of weeks of idleness updated malware and antivirus. To complete the update the machine was rebooted. On reboot, a username and password is required. I tried safe mode same thing. I have never had a username or password on this machine. How do I get in to remove the requirement??
I tried to search the data base and got this: Database error

Re: w2k wants username & password
If you have not setup a username or password then clicking the OK button should let you in.
Unfortunately we are not allowed by forum rule to help circumvent passwords.

Re: w2k wants username & password
I can understand and I can see its necessity for not helping people circumvent passwords. But I have to find something. You are right in saying that since I did not setup either, the OK button should let me proceed, however it does not. Somehow the computer must have set up both username and password or maybe a virus or malware set it up. I did not.
Thanks for replying sluggo123
