installing 2000 pro problem

i have a compaq preserio mv500 i upgraded from windows 98 to 2000 pro about a year ago last week somthing must have got into it nothing works some one told me to format it and reinstall 2000 pro i tried that but when i try to install it says press any key to boot from cd after it restarts to install 2000 pro it says to press any key to again if i do that it starts from the beging of the install again it i dont press any button the screen goes blank I dont have any key board and i cant seem to get into comp to set up cd to boot on power up
can anybody tell me what to try

you should be able to get to bios by pressing f1 when booting. if you are able to boot from floppy go to the site above and create the four 2k boot disks. load first disk with your 2k in cdrom. start your setup- format and loading 2k again. do not hit enter but once if you are able to boot from cd.
