repair win2000 OS
I was trying to uninstall norton system works thru add/remove. In doing so, the computer rebooted and was removing "history". Part way thru removing history the computer locked up. When i reboot the computer, win2000 stated with the display and told me that the \winnt\sysem32\config\systemed was corrupt and to user the R for repair. I tried that and didn't know to complete the repair. I went to google and posted the issue and I was told to reload win2000 onto another hard drive and create and ERD onto a floppy. I did this but was unable to boot the system as I am getting a message that the NTLDR is missing. How can I repair the system to boot up so I can back up all of my data. I tried setting the drive as a slave but the system would not recognize it even though the master is bigger that the slave.
