Sudden Shutdowns??

Just about every time I close an application or IE window, my computer suddenly shuts down, reboots and restarts. When it restarts, it goes thru the disc scan and reboots just as I just started the computer. Sometimes it happens when I start up and the computer is cold and sometimes after its been on all day. It all happens when I hit the Close Button [X] on any window.

I tried closing the windows by right clicking and hitting CLOSE, and it still does it. Its not every time but it is always when I dont need it to happen. Also it happens several times a day. Has anyone had this problem? Please advise

Hello and welcome to TSF

Try running IE in safe mode and see if you still have the same problem:

Click Start, All programs, Accessories, System tools and click on Internet Explore (No Addons)

Re: Sudden Shutdowns??

Open IE and go to Tools => Internet Options => Advanced and uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions" (requires restart). Try opening links after you rebooted and let us know if you still have a problem.
