win2k pro no start bar
big problem here. my silly little laptop doesnt like to start anymore. It'll load all the way to my background picture, but the start bar & icons will never load. So it just sits there with my background pic... but I cannot do anything! Finally on the 6th or so reboot it fully loads. I've tried booting into safe mode, but the same thing happens. I'm kindof computer stupid, but if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

go to another PC and get a program called stinger... its made by Mcafee and its free... it is a stand alone virus program... I am not sure which of the recent viruses do it but one will stop the taskbar from showing up...Good luck
