Users apparently corrupt
My win2k box has several accounts, which all used to work. Normally I
use one account but yesterday I needed to do something that meant using a different one. But when I logged on with the other account I just got a blank window (not a bluescreen). No task bar, no desktop, nothing. Then I tried the other accounts - the same. Then I created another couple of accounts - the same. So I have one working account. Anyone know what's gone wrong? AFAICR I've done no admin stuff lately, and file permissions are unhidden, r/w. I don't use passwords. My normal user is steve - I don't use admin or the others except when the laptop is on the lan, and then only from the lappie. Administrator doesn't work. Looking at the users, I have administrator SYSTEM (in caps) All Users All Users.WINNT Default User Default User.WINNT and a couple of users I've defined, including steve, the one I normally use, and the only one that currently works. Any ideas? |
