Windows Audio Service gone
Windows 2000 Pro SP4
I was having connectivity issues and stopped two weird looking services that had no descriptions (and honestly I don't remember what they were called, but I know I set one back to auto and I think the other is just gone.) Aparently that knocked out my sound, and 'Windows Audio' no longer appears in the service list. I tried to start it with net start AudioSvc but it tells me the service name is invalid. The only dependency I've found is RPC and that's running. |
