Windows 2000 Pro constant reboot
My desktop has a problem that it constantly restarts windows 2000 when my network cable is plugged into the desktop. If I unplug it, the computer starts up fine, except now I am not logged onto my server. I had picked up something called "ultimate cleaner" but then ran cox's antivirus and spybot and it seemed to get rid of it as well as some other spyware programs lurking about. I tried putting in a new Ethernet card and it stated up fine with the cable plugged in until my computer guy started trying to set the IP addresses to talk with the server. Upon restart, the desktop again was constantly restarting windows. I don't know what to do and my computer guy doesn't have any more ideas.
