When I turn on my dsl modem my pc reboots.

This problem began last night. I had just changed web pages when I received message box stating some error. It went away pretty fast so I don't remember what it said. A little later my pc rebooted on its own.

Now, whenever I start up the pc with the dsl modem turned on it will reboot after getting part way through the startup process.

If I leave the modem off, the pc will boot up ok and seems to be fine. The problem is, that when I turn the modem on, I get a message saying the network was found and about 20 seconds later my pc reboots.

I checked the event log and found the following:

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.
The bugcheck was 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).
Microsoft Windows 2000 {v15.2195]. A dump was saved in:
c:\winnt\minidump\mini111307.dmp"

I see other errors in the log as well:

"The TrueVector Internet Monitor service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

"Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the TrueVector Internet Monitor service to connect."

"The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
PCIIde"

I am running Webroot Spysweeper, Zone Alarms Security Suite (though I am using an older version of Norton for virus protection)

I did a virus scan last night with updated virus definitions and nothing was reported.

TrueVector is part of Zone Alarm. Try uninstalling it, then turning on the DSL modem.

Also added on to Chevy's suggestion I would like you to go to in Windows Explorer:

C:\Windows\Minidump

I would like you to take all of the files in that folder and put it into a Zip folder. Afterwards upload that Zip to the TSF Servers so I may read them and find out exactly what is causing this issue from the DMP files.
