Code 10: Device Cannot Start
Help!
I have a Dell laptop with Windows 2000 Pro and I'm trying to talk to an Agilent 34401A Digital Multimeter through a National Instruments USB-232 cable. When I start the laptop, start the DMM and then plug in the cable, everything works fine. However, when I power down the laptop and then start it up again, and try to run the DMM I get a Com port error. I go to the port and it states "Code 10: Device Cannot Start". If I physically unplug from the USB port and plug it back in, the yellow exclamation mark goes away and I can talt to the meter again. I did go to the Universal Serial Bus controller and uninstalled them all, then the computer reinstalled the USB controllers, but it didn't help my problem. Any thoughts? Thanks, Matt |
