W2K Registry
I have W2K Pro. I used Norton Antivirus for years. Now, it seems Norton does not support the W2K Pro OS anymore.
I decided to use another Anti-Virus program and uninstalled Norton 2006 from my computer. I used Norton Remover to uninstall the program but there are always some files left behind. I removed many of them from the Register but there are two that I am not able to remove. They are: LEGACY_NPFMNTOR and LEGACY_NSCSERVICE When I go Regedit I am not allowed to Delete them. Then I tried Regedt32 and the same story. Then I tried Regedt32 in Safe Mode and I coud see both files been "deleted." But when I go back to normal Win2K the files are still there in the Register. The files do not interfere with the computer but I am curious if someone know how to get rid of this files from the Register and why them seem to be engraved in stone. |
