I have recently began having problems with my pc. Msn Messenger which was working b4 ..now loads... attempts to connects but doesnt...something pops up but disappears before i can actually see the error message then msn is not clickable afterwards. i end up having to terminate the program. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling msn. ran virus scans and spyware scans with avg. checked my zonealarm settings. disabled zonealarm completely and still no luck. also...firefox has all of a sudden reverted to sending downloads to flashget... flashget has been removed from my pc for some time now and now its stopping me from downloading. have to revert to using ie for downloads.

Have you installed the mandatory upgrade for MS Messenger?

if this upgrade came out over the last few days .. no i havnt.. i dont even know of an upgrade for Messenger for NT. I was using the last available version.

Hi Format_C!

The update was announced on Tuesday; and it was for all Windows versions that can handle MS Messenger (not to be mistaken for the "Messenger service, which is something entirely different!). I would check it out, if I were you!
