Deleting Files
I came upon the Content.IE5 folder today while searching so I opened it up and there were 4 other folders inside. I opened those and I couldn't believe the amount of files in these 4 folders. There were hundreds of them in each. Most of the files don't even have extensions. They just have numbers for names and under file type it says "file". Are these folders and files inside the content folder safe to delete? I have heard so many different opinions on this subject, I don't know what to do. I have also been told that it is safe to delete all the index.dat files on my computer, is this true? I just want to make sure this is safe to do.
Thanks in Advance! |

Watching from the shadows

The index.dat files I would leave alone i cant remember what they do.
But as far as you ie5 files I would open you internet explorer and go to tool>options and I would clear your history, our cache/ and your temp internet files. In windows 2k you can to start/programs/accessories/disk cleanup and just delete the temp internet files. I hope that helped all the other stuff I would leave alone. |
