how do i close the taskbar programs?
hi gang~
i'm a new user to win2000 with NT tech.... and uhm... i just got this new comp and installed tons of stuff on it... like realplayer.. winamp, norton antivirus, icq, msn, gator, and tons of other stuff... and now there are like 11 programs running when i start up my comp... so i'm just wondering... how do i turn off the programs that runs at the bottom right of my taskbar so that they won't even run when i boot? oh and just one xtra question... which M$ OS do u guys think is the best so far? win95, 98, 2000, ME, XP? personally i like win98 the best... wut do u guys think? thanx for the reading this msg guys~:tongue2: |

if you right click on realplayer you can go to the options, then prefernces (or something like that) and unclick "startup with window". Its been awhile since I did that but it goes something like that. Try that for all of them. If you are lazy (like me :) ) then go to http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml and download the startup utility. Its just like the msconfig utility for win98. You can figure it out from there. If not just message back. By the way, I like win98 but I have worked with w2k so much that I like it more.
