Some websites are very slow in my DSL
I have 2 laptops connected to 2wire 2070B gateway router. I have AT&T SBC DSL internet connection. One laptop has win XP installed and the other win 2000 workstation.
The laptop with Win XP OS does not have any problem in browsing all the websites and the internet connection is as fast as it should be. But the laptop with Win 2k Workstation makes browsing certain wesbites very very slow. It opens only the first page of the website and I am not able to browse any links in the site. I get page cannot be displayed error. Most importantly any yahoo services (I am using SBC yahoo connection). I used all kinds of browsers ranging from IE, firefox to Netscape. This is a corporate laptop, so I use VPN to connect to my corporate network. When I am in VPN network, I am able to browse all the websites faster as I do in the Win XP laptop. I tried restarting the laptop and router, changing the router settings like value of MTU. Nothing is reaping me fruits. Any help is really appreciated. |
