Need to format, but don't have Admin Pass!

Ok, so my friend as an HP Omnibook6000, that he bought from his friends mom for 80 bucks. She had used it for a home business and it is running Novell Client.

We need to format the harddrive and load Windows XP, but everytime we try it wants a password.

So we downloaded Ophcrack and tried to crack the pass. Ophcrack got to the linux interface and didn't do anything. I found some more info and figured out how to open the ophcrack program. After doing so, I had no idea what to do. So I've set out to find a way to just format the drive without a password.

Can anyone help me out?? Either with a way to format without the password or on how to successfully use Ophcrack.

Thanks in Advance!

As Eneles said, we really can't help.

However, maybe Mom has the password. Also, I've never needed a password to do a clean install. Think restore cd.
