Confused fast tunes

all my music plays fast.
i have win media player,winamp,and quick time.
it was suggested at another site (cht) that i check enhancements in win media player.
all i have availiable in media player are:
graphic eq
media links
srs wow settings
video settings
it is the same with online radio stations.
can you help?

try this

i think this might be the problem

when u go onto your music player check if the fast forward and slow icons eg. the little rectangle at each bottem corner of the player that it has only one > and not 2 or three ( >> or >>> ) that was what was wrong with mne
write back if it works or not

in win media player i have 2 (<<) rewind and (>>) fast foward.
niether of them do anything!

fyi the winamp skin has the same icons and they don't do anything either.

hey

okay just been on windows media player and checked it out
try this method and if it doesnt work well then im stumpted.

Anyway the method here it is
go onto windows media player then go onto view then enhancements and from there play speed settings and choose one (slow normal or fast)

Really hope this helps will continue checking it out!!

My System

What sound card do you have, or is it onboard?

Go to Start > Run and type dxdiag [enter]
Click the Sound tab and drop the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level slider by one notch at a time, testing the sound after each change.

i'm playing with this feature now. but i need to run a test with music i know to set proper speed,i.e my cd player, not bird/jungle sounds.
