Lan setting no responde
In my 2000 pro windows in the lan setting I am having a problem with it responding to commands. In the lan setting box I put a check mark in
automatically detect settings, and then click the OK button, but there is no respond, I click the cancel button and the dialog box closes, but it also removes the check mark in the auto detect settings, since that check mark is remove I cannot access the internet I even disable all the startup programs, the problems still exsists did scan disk, problem still exsists I even try a repair using the 2000 installation disk, but since my service pack is 4 it cannot continue becase the installatin program is SP2, and suggest that I do a clean reinstalled I cannot do a reinstalled because I have programs that cannot be saved in upgrade status, that means that I have to start from scratch any suggestion anyone
