convert mp3s to wma
i got a new cell phone for xmas that plays music my problem is
that it will not play my mp3s it only plays wmas can anyone plz help me convert my enormous collection from mp3 to a wma file is there a free program out there that will do this thanx dkmorgen |

I use wavepad for exactly that purpose, it's great and simple and allows you to edit them as well, the free version is all you need, does the same as the full version minus a few things, but is all you need.

I use a program called Switch, found here: http://www.nch.com.au/components/switchsetup.exe. This program can convert several different audio media types back and forth. Best of all, it's FREE. What beats that?

FlexiMusic Wave Editor would do this conversion. Play the Mp3 file in the software, from file menu, choose “Export to WMA" option, here choose the bit rate of your choice and click "ok" to save the files as WMA. To convert Mp3 to WMA need to install a separate command line encoder. "WM8EUTIL.exe" encoder will be of use
